Why Not Venus?

Why Not Venus?

Everybody is so excited about going to Mars, but why? Mars is a dead, dry, and very cold planet, with little atmosphere and almost no oxygen. It will be hard to live there, and it is a long way away.
What about Venus? It is much like the Earth, about the same size, has an atmosphere, and is closer to the Earth. Why not explore Venus?
Well, the reason Why Not Venus is that its surface temperature is over 800 degrees Fahrenheit – because of the greenhouse effect. Venus’ atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide, and as a result the radiation from the Sun is captured in the atmosphere. Thus it may look like the future of the Earth – if we continue to pump CO2 into our atmosphere.
