Colonialism

When Trump says we should take over Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal, that is colonialism. Taking over other sovereign countries in order to get their resources to benefit our country – that is classic colonialism. Most of us thought that colonialism is dead and gone, history. We might have to deal with the persisting consequences of colonialism, but it seemed to be a thing of the past. But here we are, the United States of America, a country founded in the revolution against colonial rule, with a President who wants to have colonies that we can control and rape and remove their resources for our own benefit.
